Publishing workflow
Understand account queues, human posting, and post status transitions.
The API prepares content and queues work for each target account. A trained operator completes the final platform posting step, and HumanPost reviews the result.
Account queues#
Combine ready uploads, a caption, and your target account IDs into a post. Each account receives its own ordered queue item. Managed accounts may require approval before work proceeds.
Acceptance is asynchronous. Posting windows and worker availability govern dispatch; a queued post has not yet been published. See scheduling and dispatch rules.
Track post status#
Read the post with GET /v2/posts/POST_ID to follow its progress. Use the per-account results when a post targets multiple accounts.
Primary lifecycle#
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
draft | The post exists but has not been queued to any accounts. |
pending_approval | The post is waiting for a HumanPost reviewer. |
queued | Approved and waiting in each target account's queue. |
posting | A human operator is actively publishing the post. |
posted | Published successfully to the social platform. |
Other states#
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
partially_posted | Published to some accounts while other account targets remain active. |
processing | Uploaded media is still being prepared. |
cancelled | The queued item was cancelled before posting. |
failed | Publishing or media processing could not complete. |
These are post statuses. Profile-change requests have their own asynchronous outcomes.
